Section 12. MAYDAY /
EVACUATION SIGNAL
1. If mayday signal is needed
then personnel giving mayday shall announce over radio, Emergency Traffic,
MAYDAY! MAYDAY! MAYDAY! Following with who is giving mayday, location and
problem. At this point all radio traffic will stop. Only command will
communicate on radio. All companies operating are to continue as they are unless
ordered otherwise by PVFD command. PVFD command will also advise dispatch when
possible that we have a MAYDAY situation.
2. In the event that a structure fire
or any other type of incident requires evacuation this signal shall be given:
A. Continuous
blast of air or electric horns
B. Radio
broadcast by COMMAND on both PVFD ops 7 and Denton County dispatch.
C. Upon
receiving signal to evacuate, all companies will acknowledge order and evacuate
accordingly and report to division officer or command. A PAR will be taken
